After more than four years of preparation, our hospital ushered in the US AAHRPP certification site inspection from May 4 to May 6 this year.
The AAHRPP full name Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Program. The AAHRPP certification aims to promote high-quality and regulated clinical research and represents the highest standard of global human research protection. To date, more than 200 institutions in the world have obtained AAHRPP certification.
At the kick-off meeting on the morning of the 4th, President Chen Fangping delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the hospital. Deputy Dean Yuan Hong gave a special report on the construction of human research protection system in our hospital, introduced the basic situation of our hospital, and reported on the national drug clinical trial institution. The establishment of the ethics committee and clinical research subjects protection system. At the kick-off meeting were Luo Aijing, Zhu Sunhong, deputy dean, Huang Jinhua, deputy dean, Huang Feizhou, deputy dean, some clinical departments and functional departments, ethical committee members, and subjects protection system related personnel.
In the following three days, the inspectors interviewed relevant personnel including relevant departments of the clinical research subjects protection system of the management department and the ethics committee and the research team, and vice president Yuan Hong served as the protection system for clinical research subjects in our hospital. The person in charge finally received the interview; the inspector also conducted a rigorous examination of the file and job records concerning subject protection. After 3 days of intense, orderly and rigorous inspections, the inspection team of the afternoon conducted feedback on the site inspection of our hospital on the afternoon of May 6. The experts of the inspection team highly praised the AAHRPP certification work in our hospital, and considered that the hospital involved human research subjects. The leaders of the protection, various management departments and relevant personnel attach great importance to and take responsibility for this work; the subject protection system is well-structured, effective in operation, and the communication and cooperation among the relevant departments are good; the relevant regulations and responsibilities of the interviewee are accepted. We fully understand that the relevant personnel have received many different levels of effective training, which has left them with a very deep impression. Finally, the panel of experts put forward suggestions for improving the protection of subjects in our hospital. AAHRPP will give an official report on certification inspection within 30 days after the on-site inspection. Our hospital needs to improve and feedback on the report's problems. It is expected that the AAHRPP Certification Committee will discuss and decide in September and announce the result of AAHRPP certification in our hospital.
Our hospital received the AAHRPP certification on-site inspection. All departments and departments cooperated with each other.
