From December 19 to 22, a delegation consisted of Professor Robert J. Levine, an expert of bioethics from Yale University, Associate Professor Kaveh Khoshnood, Wang Ruotao, Professor from Centers for Disease Control of China and Wang Zijian, Chief Representative of Yale-China Association paid a four-day visit to CSU. A symposium was held to conduct implemental progress of Research Ethics Training and Curriculum Development Program with China, a major project sponsored by American National Institute of health NIH and co-hosted by Professor Tian Yongquan from CSU and Professor Kaveh Khoshnood from Yale.
On December 19, the delegation members were present at 2011 Sino-US Medical and Ethnic Forum held by the Third Xiangya Hospital and delivered keynote speeches. On the morning of December 20, the delegation had a conference with leaders and experts from Humanities and Social Sciences Department�� School of Political Science and Administration, Law school and School of Public Health and reached an agreement for further discussion and cooperation in fields such as bioethics and law. Besides, they also had a symposium about ethical issues in social behaviors and an interview for those candidate teachers to further their study in Yale University as well as a visit to the Second Xiangya Hospital and Xiangya Hospital.
